Barrington gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Stevenson Patriots by a score of 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Fillies/Broncos in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won seven in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22.

Stevenson's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Barrington is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Lincoln-Way Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stevenson, they will take on Evanston at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
