If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Waukon. On Friday they take on Columbus at 7:30 PM. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Waukon skips in on five wins and Columbus on four.
Waukon put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They put the hurt on Oelwein with a sharp 46-16 win. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Waukon had established a 38-8 advantage.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Columbus beat Anamosa 22-16.
Everything came up roses for Waukon against Columbus the last time the two teams met as the team secured a 51-7 victory. Will Waukon repeat their success, or does Columbus have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
