Hauser extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 7-10. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against the South Decatur Cougars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on Thursday.

Kinley Krise was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and ten unearned) runs off seven hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Hauser got a massive performance out of Kaitlyn Robbinson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Karlieann Viewegh was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Hauser kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.
As for South Decatur, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-5. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by just one run.
On South Decatur's side, Dalilah Martin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Martin is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Raegan Benge, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Looking ahead, Hauser will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Hagerstown at 11:30 a.m. As for South Decatur, they will venture away from home to square off against North Decatur at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
