 In other batting news, Athens let  Brady Flynn and  Brendan Cooke run wild. Flynn  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI, while  Cooke  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  RBI and one  run.  Troy Rosenbloom was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Athens  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cowanesque Valley only posted  an  OBP of  .300.
 Selinsgrove's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Athens, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.
