Bayside Academy entered their tilt with Cottage Hill Christian Academy on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They took down the Warriors 25-7. That's more bragging rights for the Admirals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Bayside Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Davis Barnett out in front who threw for 266 yards and a pair of TDs. A healthy portion of that aerial production (85 yards to be exact) went to Caid Lyons, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Bayside Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Billy Neill refused to say out of the backfield, picking up a sack all by himself. Monroe Partin was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble, making 13 total tackles, and defending one pass.
Bayside Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 6-1.
