The East Rockingham Eagles will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Broadway Gobblers at 7:00 p.m. East Rockingham is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for East Rockingham, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 39-25 loss to William Monroe.
Despite their defeat, East Rockingham saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Bentley Hensley, who rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Durrette, who gained 153 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Broadway made easy work of William Monroe two weeks ago and carried off a 42-21 victory. The victory was just what Broadway needed coming off of a 54-14 defeat in their prior game.
East Rockingham has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Broadway, their win bumped their record up to 4-4.
East Rockingham lost to Broadway at home by a decisive 35-20 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2021. Will East Rockingham have more luck at home instead of on the road?
