The Harrisburg Bulldogs fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Carterville by a score of 23-12 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Harrisburg also won the last time the pair played back in September.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chance Myers, who rushed for 99 yards, and also caught a touchdown.
Harrisburg's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Carterville, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 7-3.
Harrisburg will be playing at home against Peoria Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Peoria Notre Dame is ranked 156th, while Harrisburg is ranked 137th). Carterville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
