After flying high against the Wilbur Cross Governors last Friday, the West Haven Blue Devils came back down to earth. West Haven fell to Middletown 48-43.
Middletown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Studinski led the charge by scoring 15 points. Another player making a difference was Shalyn Smith, who scored ten points.
West Haven now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Middletown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
West Haven will head out on the road to face off against Hamden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Middletown, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bristol Central at 6:45 p.m.
