On Friday, it was a hard-fought game, but Anacostia had to settle for a 44-41 defeat against Surrattsville. Anacostia has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Anacostia still got an impressive performance from Antaneke Cunningham, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. Shayonna Nave was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 7 steals.
Anacostia now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Surrattsville, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Anacostia is on the road again on Saturday and play against Grace Brethren Christian at 10:55 a.m. on December 9th. As for Surrattsville, they will be playing at home against Potomac at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
