Maclay is a perfect 6-0 against Munroe since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Marauders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 2:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Maclay has four straight wins, Munroe has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Maclay's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over Rickards. Considering the Marauders have won six contests by more than 11 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Beau Beshears and Ben Wagnon were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Beshears tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Wagnon struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance also gave Beshears a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At the plate, Beshears went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI, while Wagnon got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Ben Burdette was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Tucker Poppell was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Maclay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matchups.
Sneads hit Munroe with a seven-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bobcats might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the Pirates, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Munroe saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylen Moore, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Moore's first of the season.
Munroe's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Maclay, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Munroe's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Maclay hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. It's a different story for Munroe, though, as they've only averaged .223. Will they be able to contain Maclay's hitters?
Everything went Maclay's way against Munroe in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Maclay made off with a 10-0 win. Do the Marauders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
