On Monday, Mishawaka HomeSchool W was able to grind out a solid victory over Fort Wayne GUARD HomeSchool, taking the game 57-45.
Mishawaka HomeSchool W got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Colten Dobrodt out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Dobrodt has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times he's played. Toby Wallenfang was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Benton HomeSchool beat Angola HomeSchool 45-38 on Friday. Given Benton HomeSchool's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while Angola HomeSchool is ranked 419th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mishawaka HomeSchool W's win bumped their record up to 10-19. As for Benton HomeSchool, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-10.
Mishawaka HomeSchool W was dealt a bruising 74-33 loss at the hands of Benton HomeSchool when the teams last played back in January. Can Mishawaka HomeSchool W avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
