If Glenn was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Southwest Guilford last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Glenn came up short against the East Forsyth Eagles on Friday, falling 8-1. The Bobcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Addyson Irving spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Glenn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryleigh Stewart, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for East Forsyth, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Glenn will take on Atkins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Forsyth, they will welcome West Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Forsyth will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something East Forsyth surely won't give up without a fight.
