The Eastern Eagles will take on the Miller Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eastern has eight straight victories, Miller has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Eastern's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Trimble 18-0. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by 11 runs or more this season.
Ashlynn Thomas 2027 was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last eight contests. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

In other batting news, Eastern got a massive performance out of Rylie White 2027, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave White 2027 a new career-high. Aedre Ault 2028 was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Eastern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Miller fell victim to Fisher Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Irish, falling 16-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Falcons were not able to get on the board.
Eastern's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Miller, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Eastern skirted past Miller 6-4 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
