The Sotomayor Wolves fell victim to the Dr. Maya Angelou Community Phoenix's's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Phoenix. Sotomayor has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Branden Morales had an outrageously good game for Dr. Maya Angelou Community as he rushed for 170 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Senai Hull was another key contributor, rushing for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Sotomayor's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Dr. Maya Angelou Community, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which somehow isn't as good as their 9-0 record this season.
Sotomayor will be playing at home against Los Angeles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dr. Maya Angelou Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
