The Christian Educational Consortium Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Fort Knox Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Christian Educational Consortium has four straight victories, Fort Knox has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Christian Educational Consortium posted their biggest win since December 2, 2023 on Saturday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 50-20 win over Evansville HomeSchool R. Given Christian Educational Consortium's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 150th in Kentucky, while Evansville HomeSchool R is ranked 378th in Indiana), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Educational Consortium to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rachel King, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. King is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ariana Wynder, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and six steals.
Meanwhile, Fort Knox took a serious blow against Elizabethtown last Friday, falling 90-5.
Christian Educational Consortium's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Fort Knox, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
