The Hauser Jets will challenge the Eastern Hancock Royals at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hauser comes in on six and Eastern Hancock on five.
Eastern Hancock's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Hauser hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Jets' pitcher stepped up to hand Jac-Cen-Del a 10-0 shutout on Saturday. The Jets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Kameron Blair, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Jac-Cen-Del off the board. Blair has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Stone Myers, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-4. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was R.J. Foster, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Hauser always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jac-Cen-Del only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Eastern Hancock hadn't done well against Frankton recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Royals narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Eagles 8-6.
Aidan Morris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Hayden Rouse was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Caleb Retherford was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Hauser's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Eastern Hancock, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hauser has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498. However, it's not like Eastern Hancock struggles in that department as they've averaged .487. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hauser got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Eastern Hancock by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Jets repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
