We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. First Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.9 runs per game this season.

First Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hernando Christian Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. First Academy blew past Hernando Christian Academy 23-3 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the match before.

Hayleigh Collop and Madi Myers did most of the damage at the plate: Collop scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Myers went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance also gave Collop a new career-high in doubles (two). Claire Carlton was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

First Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hernando Christian Academy struck out eight times.

Meanwhile, Calvary Chapel Academy came up short against Master's Academy last Thursday, falling 16-6. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Natalie Keen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikole Bristol, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Calvary Chapel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for First Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Calvary Chapel Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. First Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Calvary Chapel Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts.
