St. Helens hadn't done well against Hillsboro recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The St. Helens Lions secured a 48-42 W over the Hillsboro Spartans. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

St. Helens' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Hillsboro, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Helens will take on Astoria in a tournament on Thursday. Hillsboro will take on North Eugene in a holiday battle at at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
