On Monday, Smith-Cotton was the victim of a tough 60-37 loss at the hands of Tipton.
Ava Schlotzhauer had a dynamite game for Tipton, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Schlotzhauer has scored at least 25% of Tipton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlee Bailey, who scored 13 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.
Smith-Cotton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Tipton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Capital City the next time they take the court. Smith-Cotton will host Capital City on Tuesday, while Tipton will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
