Despite their loss, Carver Collegiate Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Roderielle Franklin, who scored 13 points along with four blocks, was perhaps the best of all. That's the first time this season that Franklin posted two or more blocks. Akeelah Bovie was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
McDonogh 35 suffered their biggest loss yet this season last Thursday. They were outmatched by Warren Easton on the road and fell 56-9.
Carver Collegiate Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for McDonogh 35, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.
