Dana Hills is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will challenge the Aliso Niguel Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Dana Hills will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Last Friday, Dana Hills was fully in charge, breezing past Tesoro 47-15. The Dolphins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 32 points or more this season.
A big part of Dana Hills' victory came down to the chemistry between Carter Anderson and his top target Jack Norman. Anderson threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt while Norman picked up 232 receiving yards and three scores. Norman's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.

Dana Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Norman, Thompson Foulger, and Nicholas Newsom picked up one apiece. With that strong performance, Norman is now averaging an impressive 135 receiving yards per game. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Aliso Niguel was able to grind out a solid win over El Toro on Saturday, taking the game 48-35. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won four in a row.
Dana Hills better keep an eye on Carter Vestermark. He was instrumental in Aliso Niguel's win, throwing for 286 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 76 yards and one score. That's the most rushing yards Vestermark has posted since back in October of 2024. Dane Malloy got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Aliso Niguel didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited El Toro to a completion percentage of just 50%. The team can thank Tate Fettig for the heroic effort on defense: he. Aliso Niguel wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 70.8%.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Aliso Niguel, racking up 18 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Malloy, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Dana Hills' record is now 5-0. As for Aliso Niguel, their record now sits at 4-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Dana Hills has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 154.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Aliso Niguel struggles in that department as they've been averaging 153.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Dana Hills was able to grind out a solid win over Aliso Niguel in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 20-10. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Vestermark, who rushed for 115 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 203 yards while completing 78.6% of his passes. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Dolphins still be able to contain Vestermark? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
