St. Andrew's Episcopal has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Sidwell Friends Quakers at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully St. Andrew's Episcopal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, St. Andrew's Episcopal faced Connelly School of the Holy Child in a battle between two of the state's top teams. St. Andrew's Episcopal's rough 61-35 loss to Connelly School of the Holy Child might stick with them for a while.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Chloe Ferber, who scored seven points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna beth Tsai-turton, who scored nine points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Sidwell Friends scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Flint Hill on the road to the tune of 84-16. Sidwell Friends has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 22 points or more this season.
St. Andrew's Episcopal dropped their record down to 11-8 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Sidwell Friends, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.
St. Andrew's Episcopal took a serious blow against Sidwell Friends when the teams last played on Monday, falling 69-24. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. Andrew's Episcopal was down 46-14.
