The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Rebels shot 38.10% from beyond the arc for eight threes to get past the Mitchell Christian Golden Eagles this past Thursday. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket blew past Mitchell 61-31. That result was just more of the same for the Rebels, who also won the last time these teams played (Feb. 14 of last year).
Among those leading the charge for Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was Kaylee White, who had 15 points and six assists along with six rebounds. That's the most points White has had all year.
The win was the fifth in a row for Sanborn Central/Woonsocket and raised their record to 11-9. This is the second loss in a row for Mitchell and nudges their record down to 9-12.
The Rebels and Hanson will go head to head on Tuesday in their first playoff contest of the year. Hanson is coming in off of a big 55-33 win over Kimball/White Lake. As for the Golden Eagles, they will go up against Oldham-Ramona/Rutland Monday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup.
