The Bay Rockets's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They snuck past Elyria Catholic with a 72-66 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Bay can attribute much of their success to Evan Alexy, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Cockburn, who scored 15 points.
Bay's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Elyria Catholic, they bumped their record down to 3-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bay will take on Cuyahoga Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elyria Catholic, they will be playing at home against Bellevue at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellevue presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Elyria Catholic in Ohio (Bellevue is ranked 71st, while Elyria Catholic is ranked 440th).
