The Osceola Bulldogs were the 42-37 winner over the Dorchester Longhorns when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Osceola suffered a rough 49-25 defeat at the hands of Dorchester on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Osceola has suffered against Dorchester since December 13, 2018.
Osceola's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emersyn Prososki, who scored 12 points, and Emma Recker who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Prososki has scored all season.
Osceola has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Dorchester, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Osceola will be playing at home against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dorchester, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against McCool Junction at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. McCool Junction is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
