The North Polars will stay at home for another game and welcome the Tartan Titans at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard on Thursday.
Last Monday, North came up short against Woodbury and fell 68-58.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Brevin Conway, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ramadan Hassan, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Tartan entered their tilt with St. Thomas Academy with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Tartan walked away with a 65-57 victory over St. Thomas Academy on Friday. Given Tartan's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while St. Thomas Academy is ranked 177th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Tartan, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
North came up short against Tartan in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, falling 55-46. Can North avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
