Softball Recap: Lampeter-Strasburg Wins Going Away Against Lebanon

While Lampeter-Strasburg didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Lebanon Cedars 15-0 on Tuesday. Considering the Pioneers have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lily Kuhns and Mackenzie Mack did most of the damage at the plate: Kuhns scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Mack scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Jillian Groff was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Lampeter-Strasburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lebanon only posted an OBP of .083.

Lampeter-Strasburg's record now sits at 7-2. As for Lebanon, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Lampeter-Strasburg will challenge Elizabethtown at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lebanon, they will take on Solanco at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Mules will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Cedars surely won't give up without a fight.
