Make it seven blowout wins for the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas this season. They really took it to Celebration for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-21 victory at home. The victory was just what New Smyrna Beach needed coming off of a 66-43 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Smyrna Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hailee Mokwe, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Jade Henderson was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 13 rebounds and five steals.
New Smyrna Beach's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Celebration, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
New Smyrna Beach will be playing in front of their home fans against DeLand at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Celebration's road trip will continue as they head out to face Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. Liberty is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
