Mountain Brook breezed by Mortimer Jordan at home to the tune of 54-14. The result was nothing new for Mountain Brook, who have now won four contests by 28 points or more so far this season.
Cole Gamble continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 195 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Gamble was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.
When it comes to explaining why Mortimer Jordan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Terence Gaines jr. Despite the final result, he rushed for 210 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.
Mountain Brook's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Mortimer Jordan, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 6-2.
Mountain Brook will head out on the road to face off against Gardendale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
