After flying high against the Klein Forest Eagles last Thursday, The Tomball Cougars came back down to earth. Tomball took a hard 31-17 fall against Klein Collins on Friday. Tomball has struggled against Klein Collins recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Although Tomball took the loss, they still got scores from Carter Noyes and Luke Riley.
Klein Collins had a senior duo take command as Michael Wilson picked up 148 receiving yards and two touchdowns and Tucker Parks threw for 271 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes. Wilson's longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards. Ka?jaun Gathers was another key contributor, rushing for 73 yards and a touchdown.
Tomball's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Klein Collins, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which somehow isn't as good as their 8-1 record this season.
Tomball will head out on the road to face off against Klein Cain at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Klein Cain has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 124 points over their last three contests. Klein Collins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
