Even though the Catholic Central Crusaders have not done well against the Harrison Central Huskies recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Catholic Central came out on top against Harrison Central by a score of 42-29. The win made it back-to-back wins for Catholic Central.
Among those leading the charge was Anna Arai, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Catholic Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Maragos, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals.
Catholic Central's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Harrison Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic Central has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome East Liverpool at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th. Hopefully East Liverpool focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday. As for Harrison Central, they will be playing at home against Monroe Central at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Monroe Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Harrison Central in Ohio (Monroe Central is ranked 144th, while Harrison Central is ranked 348th).
