After soaring to 58 points the game before, the Logansport Berries were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 62-22 loss at the hands of Lafayette Jefferson. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Logansport in their matchups with Lafayette Jefferson: they've now lost six in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Logansport lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cayden Walker. Despite the final result, he scored nine points.
Logansport's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lafayette Jefferson, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logansport won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Maconaquah at 8:00 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Maconaquah focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. Lafayette Jefferson will be home for the holidays to greet Bowman Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bowman Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 235th, while Lafayette Jefferson is ranked 60th).
