The Louis E. Dieruff Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Louis E. Dieruff has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 176 points over their last three contests.
Even though Louis E. Dieruff has not done well against William Allen recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Louis E. Dieruff snuck past William Allen with a 56-52 victory.
Meanwhile, East Stroudsburg North pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pocono Mountain West.
Despite their loss, East Stroudsburg North saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Bryceson Dobie, who scored 23 points, was perhaps the best of all. Dobie scored a full 38.3% of East Stroudsburg North's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Bernard Bowen III, who scored 15 points.
The losses dropped Louis E. Dieruff to 2-1 and William Allen to 1-3.
Everything went Louis E. Dieruff's way against East Stroudsburg North in their previous meeting back in January of 2020 as Louis E. Dieruff made off with a 75-51 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Louis E. Dieruff since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
