Sutton is 7-1 against Ravenna since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Sutton Mustangs will look to defend their home court against the Ravenna Bluejays. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Sutton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-38 to Centennial. Sutton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their defeat, Sutton saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Payton Reed, who scored 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. That's the first time this season that Reed scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Cole Baumert, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Ravenna's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 52-40 to Central City. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ravenna in their matchups with Central City: they've now lost five in a row.
Sutton has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Ravenna, they bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
