Buckeye always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kellis only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Estrella Foothills came up short against Eastmark on Tuesday and fell 11-6.
Blake Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Ross, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
The win got Buckeye back to even at 1-1. As for Estrella Foothills, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
