Conestoga Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge Christian School of York at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Christian School of York took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Conestoga Christian, who comes in off a win.
Conestoga Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down High Point Baptist Academy 71-52.
Conestoga Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paul Hurst, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds. Hurst has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Boutaugh, who scored 23 points along with six assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Christian School of York came up short against Lititz Christian on Friday and fell 61-52. Christian School of York has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Conestoga Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Christian School of York, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Everything came up roses for Conestoga Christian against Christian School of York when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 61-31 win. With Conestoga Christian ahead 45-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.
