There's no place like home for the Hilton Head Prep Dolphins, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past Bethesda Academy with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 59-44. That's another feather in the cap for Hilton Head Prep, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Hilton Head Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Billy Barron led the charge by going 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists. Another player making a difference was Jason Britschge, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Bethesda Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jacari Mckay, who scored 14 points, and Israel Wright who scored 13 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Franky Jackson, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Hilton Head Prep is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Bethesda Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilton Head Prep will take on First Baptist School at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethesda Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Cross at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bethesda Academy is facing Cross at the right time seeing as Cross is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
