The Western Alamance Warriors fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They skirted past Person 21-19. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Western Alamance also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Among those leading the charge was James Newton, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Newton was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards. Evan Kuehnel also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Western Alamance's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Person, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Western Alamance will take on Southern Alamance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern Alamance is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. As for Person, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williams is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
