That looming 62-60 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Hialeah-Miami Lakes yet this season.
Despite the loss, Downtown Doral still got an impressive performance from Sebastian Bueno, who scored 12 points along with nine assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bueno has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Diego Castro, who scored 17 points.
Even though they lost, Downtown Doral were working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Hialeah-Miami Lakes' victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-12. As for Downtown Doral, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-11.
Hialeah-Miami Lakes will play host again and welcome Coral Park, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Downtown Doral will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Southridge at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Southridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Downtown Doral in Florida (Southridge is ranked 173rd, while Downtown Doral is ranked 704th).
