Softball Recap: Mount Horeb Gets the Win

While Mount Horeb's victory against McFarland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Spartans 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Mount Horeb's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hallie Klein, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Mount Horeb has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for McFarland, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Mount Horeb will welcome Reedsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McFarland, they are taking a road trip to challenge Fort Atkinson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
