The Dr. Krop Lightning's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Hialeah by a score of 24-21. Dr. Krop was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hialeah apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Leading Hialeah to victory were Alex Jackson and Ryan Mathis. Jackson rushed for 37 yards and two touchdowns, while Mathis rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown. Mathis was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
Dr. Krop has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Hialeah, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Dr. Krop does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hialeah will be playing in front of their home fans against Southridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
