The Pender Patriots can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-42 victory over Warren County. The victory was just what Pender needed coming off of a 58-28 defeat in their prior game.
Jeremiah Johnson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 410 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. Jassiah Hill also helped out as he racked up 112 rushing yards.
Pender's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Warren County, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Pender will head out on the road to face off against West Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Columbus will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Warren County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
