The Freeport Bulldogs posted their biggest win since December 15, 2023 on Monday. They blew past Destin 50-20 on the road. Given Freeport's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Destin is ranked 564th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jasmine Miles continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Shelby Cosson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 21 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Freeport and bumps their season record up to 10-7. As for Destin, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Freeport will be playing in front of their home fans against Ponce De Leon at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ponce De Leon's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. As for Destin, they will head out on the road to challenge Baker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
