It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Atlantic Christian Sharks had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pride and snuck past 58-55. The win was familiar territory for Atlantic Christian who now have five in a row.
Grandview Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marco Jordonne, who scored 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavian Charles, who scored ten points along with eight assists.
Atlantic Christian's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Grandview Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 19-4.
Atlantic Christian will take on Grandview Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Atlantic Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 322 points over their last five matchups. Grandview Prep will be staying on the road to face off against Atlantic Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. Atlantic Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Grandview Prep likes a good challenge.
