The Hanover Area Hawkeyes are taking a road trip to face off against the Crestwood Comets at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crestwood took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hanover Area, who comes in off a win.
Hanover Area is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past MMI Preparatory School 17-2 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hawkeyes considering their one-run performance the game before.

Cam Kratz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Kratz was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ryan Bennett was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Jeff Peck was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Meanwhile, Crestwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Wyoming Valley West, falling 8-0. Comets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Spartans since Tuesday.
Crestwood also got a good showing from Ryan Brown, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brown has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Crestwood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxson Fedak, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Crestwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for Hanover Area, their record now sits at 10-5.
Hanover Area suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Crestwood in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Hawkeyes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
