Waipahu is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Farrington is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Waipahu Marauders will take on the Farrington Governors at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Waipahu faced Leilehua in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Waipahu enjoyed a cozy 37-21 victory over Leilehua. The win was just what Waipahu needed coming off of a 74-18 loss in their prior match.
Among those leading the charge was Eric Stephens, who picked up 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Stephens hasn't dropped below 100 receiving yards for five straight games.
Meanwhile, Farrington gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Kailua and snuck past 13-10.
Waipahu has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Farrington, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Waipahu strolled past Farrington in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 by a score of 33-14. Does Waipahu have another victory up their sleeve, or will Farrington turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
