The Arlington Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Syracuse Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Arlington has given up an average of 55.4 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Tuesday, Arlington was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-61 to North Bend Central. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arlington might have lost, but man, Parker Robinson was a machine: he shot 64% from the field on his way to 21 points and eight boards. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Ryder Logemann was another key player, going 5-for-6 en route to 13 points.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Syracuse's strategy against Louisville on Friday. The Rockets blew past the Lions 50-26. The Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 23 points or more this season.
Syracuse's win came from a few key players that Arlington will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jake Janssen, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Maxwell Parde, who posted four points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds.
Syracuse was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They racked up six more assists than Louisville's also-impressive total of ten.
The victory made it two in a row for Syracuse and bumps their season record up to 9-2. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 23.5 points. As for Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Arlington has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Syracuse struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Arlington was able to grind out a solid win over Syracuse in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, winning 62-50. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
