Stockton Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Turlock Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.
When it comes to explaining why Stockton Christian lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Brandon Williams. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Williams, who scored six points.
Will Kelley was on fire for Turlock Christian: he scored 31 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kelley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Winston York, who scored five points along with nine rebounds.
Stockton Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Turlock Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stockton Christian will take on Don Pedro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Don Pedro is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Turlock Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Stone Ridge Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stone Ridge Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 66.3 points per game.
