The Delavan Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canton. Delavan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Canton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Delavan still got an impressive performance from Cooper Hansen, who scored 16 points.
Delavan bumped their record down to 8-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Canton, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
Delavan will look to defend their home court on Friday against Athens at 7:30 p.m. Canton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Washington at 5:30 p.m. on January 5th. Washington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Canton in Illinois (Washington is ranked 88th, while Canton is ranked 439th).
