Last Friday, Ocala Christian faced Countryside Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ocala Christian enjoyed a cozy 22-6 victory over Countryside Christian.
One reason for the win was Ocala Christian's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Giovanni Perrella and Skyler Forella who racked up five sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Lakeside Christian can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Liberty Christian Prep at home to the tune of 50-12. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lakeside Christian.
Their wins bumped Ocala Christian to 7-3 and Lakeside Christian to 5-4.
Ocala Christian took a serious blow against Lakeside Christian when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 64-24. Can Ocala Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
